New Gen Wind Symphony was formed in November 2014, when music first blossomed in the hearts of twelve passionate youths under the leadership of Founding President and Chairman Mr Ethan Peck.
Inspired by the passion and dedication of Founding Music Director and Conductor Emeritus Ms Dorean Tan, music became a vibrant part of their lives. Their enthusiasm reached friends from different educational institutions and widened the circle of like-minded musicians.
What began as informal gatherings to play together grew into a community wind band, united by a shared love for music and a commitment to musical growth.
In January 2017, NGWS officially came under the wing of the Taman Jurong Community Arts and Culture Club as a recognised Interest Group. Today, under Music Director and Conductor Mr Vincent Lee, the band continues to nurture musicians and bring the joy and power of music to the community.
